Forged rectangular trays, set of three
These rectangular small trays are forged of thick mild carbon steel, the edges are cut rough with a blow torch, gently grinded, wire-brushed and waxed - in Pittsburgh. Three trays are presented as a set that match and fit next to each other, substantially and rugged. The torch natural pitting caused by weathering and the cut edges define its rugged appeal. The edges show the forces that acted upon the material during crafting.
Jörg's original intention was to develop a set for the desk top stationery, for all these things that you never find, but these trays turned out to be nice in the hallway or living room as well. As the surface is waxed and the pieces should not be used in the kitchen, bath or with wet items. A matching steel mug is available that can be useful for pens, scissors and other items that you might want to have standing on the desk top.
